Dragon
Carved from three lengths of oak for and with Boston West primary school and parents.
It is 30 feet long, enough for a whole class to sit on!
Summer 2008. |

Tigger and Pooh Bench
A memorial bench for a past pupil, different from my usual work but an interesting challenge and much appreciated by the clients.

Harlaxton Tower
At Harlaxton School in Lincolnshire, from the stump of an oak tree that had to be felled.
Following ideas from the pupils I used the ornate designs of chimneys in the village, adding the school name, squirrels and a hole through for fun.
2.2m tall, 2006 |

Cartoon Spiral
For Moorland School, Lincoln. The children had drawn ideas for a totem pole but what I liked best were their drawings of themselves; so original.
I tried to render their drawings life size in 3d and arrange them around a spiral. The result is unconventional but I like it more and more as time passes. Elm, 2005 |

Vines
Fosse-Way School, North Hykeham; a large primary school. I was struck by the hundreds of children all growing up in their own individual ways and came up with this design of three different vines; hop, bryony and bindweed emerging from a spiral.
Elm, 2.7m tall, 2005 |
