Big Fish
This was for Moorland School in Lincoln, it was a surplus piece of wood but perfectly shaped for a big trout and of elm which allows hollow forms without splitting. It is big enough for children to climb in through the mouth and out of the gills, and is very popular with children as testified by the worn grass.
Approximately 3m x 1m x 1m, 2006 |

Pegasus
For Winchelsea School in Ruskington whose emblem is a pegasus. I was fortunate to have a large elm fork on site that lent itself to this shape, I added a child riding on its back to stimulate the children’s imagination.

It is big (approximately 2.2m long) and has to be climbed on! Elm, 2006 |
